AI Interact Skills: A Deep Dive Into Smarter Tender Assistance
The AI Interact system has always been about making AI genuinely useful for tender work — not just answering general questions, but actually helping you get work done. The latest update introduces a skill-based approach where each task has its own purpose-built assistant.
What Are Skills?
A skill is a focused AI mode for a specific type of task. Instead of asking a general assistant to "help with my BOQ", you activate the BOQ Costing skill.
It understands the structure of a bill of quantities, knows how to work through line items systematically, and produces output that's ready to review. The result is far more accurate and useful than a general-purpose chat response.
Available Skills
The current set of skills covers the most common tender workstreams:
- BOQ Costing — price line items, calculate totals, and flag gaps in your quantities
- Quote Generation — draft professional quote letters from your estimate data
- Compliance Review — check your submission documents against tender requirements
- Document Interpretation — extract key dates, requirements, and conditions from lengthy tender documents
- Drawing Take-offs — interpret uploaded drawings and extract quantities automatically
Skills Work With Your Project Context
Each skill can access the relevant parts of your current tender or project automatically. When you activate the Compliance Review skill on a specific tender, it already has access to the scope of work, your uploaded documents, and the compliance checklist.
You don't need to copy and paste anything in — the context is already there.
Human Review Stays Central
Skills produce output for you to review, approve, and edit — not output that goes directly into a submission. Every result is shown clearly in context so you can accept, modify, or discard it.
The AI assists; you control what ends up in your final tender. This is a deliberate design choice — tender submissions carry legal and commercial weight, and a human needs to stay in the loop on every decision.
